Notfast Running Club

45 members completed Parkruns this week, at Horsham, Colwick Park, Humber Bridge, Parke and Newark. PBs this week for Johnathan Van-Tam and Sue Swain.

On Tuesday and Thursday, there were the first 2 events of the Holme PierrepontGrand Prix. This is a series of 4 events over 2 weeks around Nottingham. The first event was at Rushcliffe Country Park, and was a 4-mile course. Jeremy Reichelt was first back for NOTFAST in 31:28, followed by David Gill(32:08), Kate Fisher (34:46), Annette Taylor (34:56), Andy Pritchett (35:30), Cheryl Kempster (36:45), Faye Hemingway (41:28), Colin Green (42:42), and Madaleine Combie (49:49).

The second event on Thursday was a 10k run around the Holme Pierrepont site itself. Jeremy Reichelt was again first back in 48:08, followed by David Gill(51:35), Kate Fisher (53:35), Annette Taylor (54:03), Andy Pritchett (54:54), Cheryl Kempster (57:55), Faye Hemingway (1:03:24), Colin Green(1:05:00), and Madaleine Combie (1:19:55). 

NOTFAST were out early on Friday for the Sunrise City 5k in Nottingham. This 5k event takes place at 5:30am across the streets of the city centre. Completing the course was Kimberley Etherington-Bates (25:59), Stuart Hawkes(28:00), Angela Brown (30:58), Fay Paterson (33:07), Faye Hemingway(34:13), Claire Simmonds (34:43), and Zoe Smith (40:42), Jacqui Walton, Victoria Heath and Maria Brambles

Adam Holland is currently 4 events into the Great Barrow Challenge, which is 10 marathons in 10 days. Adam has not been well through the beginning of the set, but completed day 1 in first place in 2:53:53, day 2 in first place in 3:15:34, day 3 in first place in 2:46:00, and day 4 in first place in 2:55:24. Another 6 events to go across the week. 

Kirsty Jackson completed the Clumber Race for Life 10k with her friend on Sunday. This was a trail run across the Clumber estate, and despite tired legs, finished in a PB of 54:47.

On Sunday, Andy Pritchett took part in the “Sting-In-The-Tail” 10k at Caistor, near Grimsby. This is a road race through Nettleton and back to Caistor, and Andy completed the course in 57:24.
