Christmas runs for Notfast

Parkrun PB’s this week at Newark for Anna Wilkinson and Kim EtheringtonBates.

NOTFAST turned out in force to support Newark AC’s Boxing Day Handicaps, not an official race just a bit of fun, on a beautiful morning at Sconce Park. It was a very relaxed, fun and sociable event. Two of our members got a podium finish and won vouchers: Kirsty Watson in 2nd place and Gill Oxley in 3rd place.

On Tuesday 25 members took part in the Notts AC Christmas Relays held at Harvey Hadden Sports Village in Nottingham. The course started and finished on the running track in the stadium and was a mix of hard surface and grass, distance approx. 2.5 miles with a few cheeky hills which took us all by surprise. A beautiful morning for running. Some of our runners stepped up for a second lap to cover for those who were unable to make it. No times available yet, but our runners were:

Kate Fisher, Faye Hemingway, Kim Etherington-Bates, Chris Mumby, Alan Fisher, Fay Parker, Jacqui Walton, Richard Borrill (2 laps), Jeremy Reichelt (2 laps), Peter Tatton, Fay Paterson, Cliff Robinson, Jim Lovett (2 laps), Andy Watts, Cathy Clarke, David Gill, Diana Wakefield, Kathryn Lile, Netty Stevens, Adrian Mumby, Adam Jackson (2 laps), Cath Hare, Karen Borrill, Martin Dickenson, and Madaleine Combie

Thank you to our enthusiastic supporters Kirsty Jackson, Ernie Clarke, Julie Mumby, Carmen Lovett and John Combie.

Meanwhile, Adam Holland was in Barrow doing the first of his triple marathons to round off the year. In spite of twisting his ankle after 8 miles and dropping his pace, Adam still strolled in to win in 3:05:30!
