15 members completed Parkruns this week, at Parke, Hastings and Newark, with a new PB for Jonathan Van-Tam.

This week was all about The Conti Thunder Run, a 24-hour endurance race in Catton Park, Derbyshire.  There were members of NOTFAST taking part either relay teams of 5, 8 or running solo around the 10K cross country course, completing as many laps as possible in the 24-hour time period. The event started at noon on Saturday in bright sunshine, but there had been some rain the night before, making the course a little slippery. Around 3pm, the heavens opened, and they didn’t stop until around 7am the next morning, and quickly the course became treacherous, with some runners in other teams taking serious injuries. Luckily for NOTFAST, despite many falls on the boggy trails, there were no serious injuries.
