Robin Hood, poppies and Dovedale

There were 29 NOTFAST members at Parkruns this week, with 14 going to Belton House for their 2nd anniversary, with the rest of the team at Newark. New PBs this week for Jim Lovett, Ann Manley, David Baker and Lyn Gascoigne.

Adrian Dix was at Rushcliffe Golf Course for their night 5-mile event, coming in 3rd overall in 33:41

On Saturday afternoon, 4 of the team were at the Robin Hood Trail Adventure event at Sherwood Pines. In the 10K event, Adrian Dix came in 10th overall in 40:44, Simon Lock in 50:40, and Sue Needham in 1:06:03. In the Duathalon, (5k run, 20k ride, 3k run), Steve Needham finished first in age category in 2:25:42

Adam Holland was at the Haldon Night 10k on Saturday night, and even though he was sent the wrong way by a marshall, he went back and still completed the route in 47:26, and finished 11th.

On Sunday, Richard and Karen Borrill completed the 5k Poppy Run at WollatonHall in Nottingham with 700 other runners. Richard finished in 24 minutes, and Karen in 36 minutes.

Also on Sunday, NOTFAST were out in at the Dovedale Dash, a 4 ¾-mile trail run near Ashbourne in Derbyshire. This year the ground was especially muddy, making for a very slippery course. Annette Taylor was the first NOTFAST back in 1:01:58, followed by Zoe Smith (1:38:32), and Gill Goode (1:38:32)

Finally, Chris McDonnell was at the Leeds Abbey Dash on Sunday, a 10k race with 11,000 other runners, and completed the course in 46:12.
