Faye’s big day

NOTFAST had 33 Parkrunners this week, at Poznan in Poland, Forest Rec, Belton House, and Newark. PBs this week for Dave Fargher and Jill Fowkes.This was also our own Faye Hemmingway’s debut as run director at Newark, with many of the NOTFAST team either volunteering or pacing at the event.

On Saturday night, it was the Clumber Night run; a 4.2-mile run through Clumber Park at night, guided by headtorches. Completing the course was Kirsty Watson (46:33), Faye Hemingway (46:47), Angela Brown (46:47), Dianne Kennett (52:49), Sarah Ridley (56:43), Jill Fowkes (56:43), Kate Blair, Sue Needham and Peter Brown.

Sunday was the continuation of the East Midlands Cross Country league at Colwick park, and NOTFAST were out in force as always. Again, the format being 2 laps of the 2.5-mile course for the men, and one lap for the ladies. In the Ladies event, Diana Wakefield came in 22 overall in 24:33, followed by Kimberley Etherington-Bates (26:33), Janet Davies (27:55), Amy Borrill(33:07), Breeze Rowlands (33:07), Angela Brown (33:42), Maria Brambles (36:05), Faye Paterson (36:20), Kerry Robinson (37:17), Cathy Clarke (38:42), Gill Goode (39:13), Jacqui Walton (39:52), Amy Hazard (41:01), Kate Blair (41:44), Sarah Walker (41:53), Jill Fowkes (41:58), and Karen Borrill (42:53).

In the Mens event, Adrain Dix came 26th overall in 38:15, followed by Damian Davies (40:17), Anthony Cork (46:51), Steven White (51:53), Peter Lane (53:13), Andy Rowlands (54:43), Chris Redhead (56:04), Jeremy Reichelt(56:07), dave Fargher (56:12), Adam Jackson (56:30), Richard Borrill (56:36), Jim Lovett (56:38), Cliff Robinson (56:39), Peter Middleton (61:40), Martyn Newton (63:29), Andy Floyd (63:54), John Miller (66:26), Andy Watts (82:38), and Edward Casebourne (93:34).

Stuart Ashley was also at the Wilmot Wander on the outskirts of Derby. Despite a very muddy course, and  a headwind for the majority, Stuart completed the 32.5-mile course in 10:39.
