Our hero is in sight of that world record
Saxon Shore Marathon (Saxons, Vikings & Normans 10 marathons in 10 days) day 9 finish is in site. Can say that was a very tough marathon, really struggled against the wind and I'm hoping tomorrow as it's in the same location it isn't going to be as bad. My ankle isn't looking too great ever. Half way in 1:29:30sec you can imagine I was thinking sub 3 is not happening! I really appreciate all the support everyone was giving. Nick for running with me for a mile 😊 somehow I managed to stay strong physically and mentally to finish 1st back in a time of 2:57:26. So I managed to do a negative split. Just the 1 marathon to go. I have to finish the marathon faster than 4:14:08sec to beat the previous world record which was set by Rik Vercoe 20 December 2013. Time for some food to keep me going tomorrow
