We start this week with news from the Vale of York Half Marathon. Jenny Palmer and Anthea Moisey were competing, Jenny knocked over 4 minutes off her PB with a time of 2:14:17 and Anthea crossed the finishing line in 2:30:37.

Back in Nottinghamshire, 4 Striders were running in the Mansfield 10K, which also served as the 2019 Notts AAA 10K county championship. Lewis Hopkinson finished in 37:13, 14th place overall, 2nd place V45 and county age group silver medal. Peter Davis won county age category gold and was 2nd place V65 in a time of 46:21. Steve White had a good run too, finishing in 47:50 and Bonnie Tinsley 58:00.

There was a good club turnout at the Ponton Plod which offers 12, 17 and 27 mile options. 27 mile, Karen Illsley, Jacqui Jackson, Andy Scott, Helen McGrory, Niceeta Padgett. 17 mile Jean-Louis Balestra, Lynne Boby, Amanda Longmire, Kath Scott, Richard Scott. 12 mile, Tracey Partridge and Gemma Latham.

Stacey Atkins completed the 10K wild wine run near Loughborough in a watch time of 1:24.

Back to Saturday for Parkrun news and we had cause for celebration with 7 PBs at Newark and 4 at Lincoln. Further afield, Gemma Latham ran the Parkrun at Brierley Forest.
