A fantastic weekend
Newark’s carting Star Harry Wainwright had a fantastic result lat weekend at Shenington Kart Club in Oxfordshire.
Starting heat one Heat One In twenty first place he carefully picked off the other carts to finish in seventh place and would have been even higher but for almost half the the race being run under the safety flag.
Heat two started with Harry second on the grid and after pulling away from the rest of the pack maintained that position.
To the Final with position five on the grid, Harry made a great start getting up to third and then setting about catching the front two, Our young star made a good move up to second with two laps to go,but there wasn’t enough time to catch the leader.
It was a great result out of 39 drivers of which most will be his competition in the up coming British championships.
