Hello Jags fans! What a final home game to the season Jags 1 had today!! Liam joined our team for his swan song performance for Jags - thanks and goodbye! We were playing Mavericks 1 who we lost to a couple of weeks ago by one basket, so were expecting a tough game and we were not disappointed at all. Right from the off Mavericks tried to press but we kept breaking free and pushing them back - the score at the end of the first quarter showing what a hard fought game it was at 4-6 to Mavericks.
The two and fro action continued for the full 40 minutes - with all the Jags players taking shots and trying to stop Mavericks from taking theirs. Unfortunately at the final whistle the score remained in Mavericks favour 38-48 - a score which doesn't do the game justice. All our guys (and girl who has a 99% record) played incredibly well against tough opposition - especially Angus, who was a legend!!
Earlier in the day Jags 2 also lost narrowly to the Mavericks by 56 to 46 pints
