The First Team in Division 1 of the Nottinghamshire League have won one and lost two of the 3 away matches they played in January. The victory came against Nottingham University 3-2, with Paul Burrell, Ashley Brooks and Chris Gibbons winning their respective matches. The defeats were both 5-0 though away at Rushcliffe and Trent Bridge. Steve Brown and Ashley Brooks but had close 3-2 matches at Rushcliffe whilst Chris Gibbons lost 3-2 at Trent Bridge. The results leave them second bottom with vital games coming up against teams around them. In the individual rankings Chris Gibbons sits eighth.

Second Team.

Meanwhile in Division 3 the second team have gone back to the top of a very tight league by winning all their 3 matches during the month. They won 5-0 away at Southwell 3 with Mark Chester, Andrew Sayers, Christian Cardenas and Craig & Paul Drury all winning their games. The next two were much tighter 3-2 affairs, against Nottingham University by way of Craig Drury, Barrie Saye & Jamie Groden and Southwell 4 with Paul Allen, Christian Cardenas and Craig Drury again securing the points. Two of the teams below have games in hand so it should be a tight finish as we move towards the end of the season. In the individual rankings Christian Cardenas is second and Paul Allen seventh.

In Division 5 the third team played two games wining one and losing one. The victory came against University Students 3 with Jamie Groden, Jack Peterken and Nick Mumby coming out on top in a close 3-2 encounter whilst the defeat came against Park Pinks “B” by a 4-1 margin with Nick Mumby again winning his game.  They currently sit sixth in the league but with games in hand against the teams above them.

The victory came against Eastgate “E” with Mark Chester, Christian Cardenas and Barrie Saye winning their games whilst the defeat came a against a very strong Horncastle “A” side with only Barrie Saye picking up any individual points in the 5-0 loss.
