Newark Striders Running Club
Gary Tasker, Peter Davis and Steve White braved the icy wind on Sunday to take on the Bolsover 10K. Despite the conditions there were strong performances with 43:55 for Gary, Peter was the first MV65 finisher in 46:30 and Steve crossed the line in 48:36.
Back to Saturday and 3 Newark Striders ran the 3.28 mile race at the Showground in the Maramile Christmas Challenge. Sarah Stuart 41:44, Emma Ashwin 41:44 and Sally Lambert 41:48 Staying with Saturday, and as well as Newark, where Mark and Hannah Jackson completed their 100th Parkruns, there was a group of Striders at Brierley Forest Parkrun.
Finally some cross country news. Mud and hills galore for Graham Welsh in a 5.8 mile race at Bracebridge Heath on Wednesday, 58:32 and for Andrew Vosper in Sunday's 4.8 mile Lincoln & District Runners Christmas XC, 49:16, unofficial times.
