Newark Striders
To the Retford Half Marathon first where 17 Newark Striders took on the 13.1 mile distance. Dave Dews was first to finish with a new PB time of 1:36:22, followed by Jean-Louis Balestra in 1:40:13 and Philippa Clarke with a big new PB of 1:40:23.
Peter Davis crossed the line in 1:44:44, Steve Martin 1:46:40, Steve Padgett 1:51:36, Chloe Jones 1:54:43, Andy Scott 1:55:12 and Niceeta Padgett 2:04:51. The group of Helen McGrory, Kath Scott, Karen Illsley and Striders family member Jessica Boby were next, 2:11:43 and a great new PB for Helen, Kath 2:11:49, Karen 2:11:50 and Jessica 2:11:47. Nicole Henderson completed the course in 2:18:47, Sara Whittaker 2:19:26, Heather Green 2:22:32, Gemma Latham 2:30:57 and Lynne Boby 2:31:30.
We were also in half marathon action in Cambridge where Tracey Partridge earned a new PB of 2:14:35, Lesley Butlin crossed the finishing line in 2:16:50 and Andy Sirrs 2:19:30. It was also a first outing as a Race Angel for Jacqui Jackson who ran over 15 miles whilst supporting the runners.
Emma Gilbert and Stephen Tomlinson ran the Burghley 7 mile race. It was an enjoyable event in a great setting, Emma finished in 54:29 and Tomo in 1:01:28.
Finally to Parkrun, and as well as Newark we ran at Zamek w Malborku, Victoria Dock, Castle Howard and 20 of us were at Doddington Hall.
