Newark Striders
Friday night was race night as three Striders completed the Notts 10 mile event.
First Strider to finish was Peter Davis in a time of 1:14:51 which gained him a bronze medal in the V60 age category, he was followed by Jean- Louis Balestra in 1:28:35 and Wyn Thomas 1.31:55.
A huge congratulations to Strider Eddie Jones who completed the Woodhall spa triathlon, which consists of 400M swim, a 25K bike and a 5k run. Eddie finished in a fantastic time of 2.02.38.
Four Striders braved the heat and participated in the Hull 10K , first to finish was Nick Beveridge in a great time of 46:32, followed by Rebecca Clift 58:31 , Donna Beveridge 1.09.52 and Anthea Moisey in 1.16.12.
And finalkt a huge congratulations to our super Strider Stacey Atkins who completed the Ironman staffordshire 70.3 in just over 8hrs. Stacey achieved a PB in the 1.2 mile swim , then completed the 56 bike ride and a half marathon to finish !
