Newark Striders Running Club
On Saturday saw two Striders Richard Scott and Noel Henderson completed "the Tissington trail" stroke association challenge marathon in Derbyshire. They finished the scenic but hilly course in a wonderful time of 3:59:45.
While on Sunday eight Striders completed the challenging Asby 20.
A twenty mile , two lap race over the gently rolling hills of Leicestershire, first Strider home was Nick Beveridge in a brilliant time of 2:52:18 PB, with our first lady finishing close behind the speedy Philippa Clarke in 2:54:49, followed by Andy Scott 3:03:43 PB, Sara Carter 3:08:13 PB, Jon Rawson 3:23:34 PB, Stacey Atkins 3:39:01, Jacqui Jackson 3:35:08 and Kath Scott 3:45:08 PB .
A huge thank you to the support crew and it was great to see friends on route.
