Newark Athletic Club

Newark Athletic Club took on a very tough course at Wollaton on Saturday for the English National Cross Country Championships, very, wet and muddy to say the least. 

There was a superb 3rd place for ex Newark AC Linton Taylor in the senior race.
Joseph Monk in the U13 Boys race had a good race finishing 99th.
Beth Wynn Jones had a great race coming home 292nd! in the U15 girls race.
The Junior Women saw Savannah Brock 34th for Grantham, Laura Bates 86th, Tilly and Lauren Owen's 129th and 130th.



The Junior Men saw Ed Buck come home in a strong 52nd place.
In the Senior Ladies Cloe Hubbard 36th,  Becky Gallop 135th and a special guest appearance saw Rosie Beadle 378th.

In the Senior Men the club had a large group of runners. Oli Carrington 200th, Geoffrey Gregory 581st, Tom Hubbard 607th, Damian Davies 622nd, Grant Davies 694th, Simon Roberts 762nd, Tim Bagguley 788th, Carl Braithwaite 1062nd, Gareth Owens 1205th, Adrian Dix 1247th (in his trainers) and Lee Braithwaite 1445th.
