Tim Bagguley

Tim Bagguley competed in the North York Moors 100 miles (actually102 miles) with a combined elevation of over 11,000 feet starting in Malton with the course covering the moors out nearly to Whitby and then returning via Goathland (Adensfield for Heartbeat fans) back to Malton. He contended with hot conditions in the high 20s and a couple of thunderstorms but completed the course in 34 hours and 30min to finish 80th out of 493 starters. This follows on from his previous weekend when he competed in the Southport Sprint Triathlon 750m swim,20k bike and 5k run when he finished 13th overall and 2nd in his age group and gained selection to represent GB in the 30-34 year age group in August 2018 (twenty eighteen) in the European Championships in Glasgow.

3 photos selected by Tim

First on is at 10.2 miles 12.15pm Saturday just after a downpour it must have stopped raining or I would still have been sat in the car and not taking photos

Second one around 22.5 miles near Hutton-le-hole 4.00pm Saturday

Third one approaching Goathland (Adensfield if you watch Heartbeat) 74 miles 9.15am Sunday morning another 28 miles to go and around 11 hrs on his feet during temperatures that got well up into high 20s during the late morning early afternoon.

If you spot the difference he has different shoes on the last photo because he had to change original ones at around 70 miles when we met about 8.00 am Sunday because one of the soles had started to part company with uppers during the night on the original pair
