Tom wins in the Rain

Sunday at East Leake

Nine members of the club were at  the East Leake end of season Sprint Triathlon this Sunday, The morning began with very wet and windy conditions but by the time the swim started there was a break in the rain and the sun even shone through for a short while on the bike leg. Tom Marshall finished first in 01:02:36, followed by Jason Cobb 01:13:11, John Palmer 01:17:03, Emma Williams 01:18:55, Mary Swindles 01:28:13 Jem Lawson 01:31:04. Then three members completing their first triathlon Jason Priest 01:31:44,  Leroy Lindsay 01:34:37 and Sarah-Jane Cobb 01:42:57.
The club brought home four awards for age catagory placing with Tom, Emma and Mary taking 2nd in their category and Jem 1st. Inspiration to all members and a great way to end the season.

Dave Daubney and Victoria Smith participated in Stathern Duathlon a local event which supports the village school and charities. They both completed the 18k bike and 5k run and although no official results are as yet available Victoria came away with first female. Well done Victoria.

Nick Williams was out chasing a sub 1:30 at the Robin Hood half Marathon and after a quick dash around the course in 01:29:40 still had time to travel to East Leake to support his fellow team members, what a hero!.
