Newark Castle Cycling Club ended their summer season with the traditional Sunday morning hill climb.
Terrace Hill in the Vale of Belvoir is listed on the Simon Warren book '100 Greatest Cycling Climbs'....distance 0.6 miles, ave gradient 7%, max gradient 15%, height gained 80metres.
After a hard mornings work the home club filled the podium

Newark Rugby Club will be looking for an early Christmas present in their final match before the new year. The team are still looking for their first victory of the current campaign and will be hopeful it comes against a Belgrave side that are nine points and three places above our locals.

Starting with football, Newark Town’s recent dip in form which saw one victory from their last five outings was put to the test with a tricky day out in Derbyshire, in front of a crowd of 345 “the Blues" proved up to the task with a clean sheet aided by a single Harry Allcock strike giving them a happy journey home from Gresley.
